All Age 1s Grand Final

The Saturday AA1s narrowly lost the Grand Final vs Queens Park in the last moments of Extra Time. After going 1-0 down, the Hawks levelled only to be pegged back once more.

The lads dug deep and managed to draw equal – and at 2-2 the game went into extra time. There was little in it – with both teams playing hard, flowing football. But it was Queens Park who had the last say – with almost the very last touch of normal time, with everyone getting ready for the delights of a penalty shootout – they scored. The ball driven into Heffron’s box where a QP striker glanced a header goal bound. Matty in the sticks had no chance. And that was that. So close.

The lads should all be pleased with the results this year. The GF win didn’t come sadly. Next year lads, we go again!
