Heffron Hawks Football Club was formed in 1974 (then called Brothers Soccer Club). In the late 1980s the club was re-named Heffron Hawks, the club colours were changed to the now familiar Gold and Black. Up until 1993, the club fielded only junior teams in the Eastern Suburbs competition. At that time, the club merged with a fledgling seniors outfit called Maroubra City, and the new Heffron Hawks was born.
